Meredith Chavez Presents Research at UH Undergraduate Research Day

2012 Oct 17

Meredith Chavez, a University of Houston architecture major from Houston, Texas, was one of more than 100 undergraduates who presented research at Undergraduate Research Day at the University of Houston (UH).

Chavez is a 2012 SURF student. Her research project, titled "Water City: Phnom Penh," represented the UH College of Architecture.

Undergraduate Research Day showcases the achievements of undergraduate researchers from a wide variety of majors and colleges at the UH. This year's group of students represented more than 10 colleges and 30 academic departments and included the 2012 Summer Undergraduate Research Fellowship (SURF) students and members of the UH Honors College.

Three students gave oral presentations of their research on topics covering biology, earth and atmospheric sciences, and mathematics while more than 100 presented posters showcasing their research projects conducted within the last year.

Undergraduate Research Day is coordinated by the UH Office of Undergraduate Research and The Honors College.
